Creamsicle / Orange Julius Slush
Creamy orange-vanilla slush with orange juice concentrate, whole milk, and a refrigerator-cold base.
Ingredients
Timing & equipment
- Equipment: Cuisinart 6 in 1 (ICE-200) and a whisk
- Chill: until the entire mixture is refrigerator-cold
- Setting: Slushy
Instructions
- Dissolve the sugar. Stir the sugar into the water until dissolved.
- Mix the base. Whisk in the thawed orange juice concentrate, whole milk, and vanilla. Add the optional orange zest and salt, if using.
- Chill thoroughly. Refrigerate the whole mixture until refrigerator-cold before pouring it into the Cuisinart.
- Make the slush. Run on the Slushy setting, not Ice Cream. Dispense and serve.
Notes & variations
- Aim for a creamy, fluffy, icy, drinkable texture: Orange Julius crossed with a Creamsicle.
- Keep the sugar, water, and orange-concentrate proportions as listed; do not substitute plain orange juice and milk for the prepared base.
- Based on Cuisinart’s Slushy Julius recipe, with optional orange zest and salt.
