Split Pea Soup (Bag + Carton, Instant Pot)
Bag of split peas + carton of broth = a thick soup that only needs a quick stir at the end.

- Pressure: High Pressure
- Time: 20 minutes
- Release: Natural Release 15 minutes, then quick release
Instructions
- Add liquids + peas. Pour broth and water into the inner pot, then add rinsed split peas.
- Add smoky meat. Place the ham hock (or sausage) on top.
- Pressure cook. Seal and cook on High Pressure for 20 minutes.
- Release. Natural release 15 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
- Finish. Remove ham hock, shred meat, and return meat to the soup. Stir well.
- Season. Taste and season; thin with a splash of water if needed.
